Job Title: Consultant, Engineer/Geology/Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant, Engineer/Geology/Scientist to join our team at ERM International Group Limited. As a key member of our consulting firm, you will work closely with Project Managers on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM's services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance on site investigation and remediation, EHS compliance, and due diligence transaction projects.
  • Conduct field work, including subcontractor oversight, utility clearance, soil and bedrock drilling, characterization, and sampling, monitoring well installation and test pit excavation, soil, sediment, soil vapor, sanitary system, surface water, and groundwater sampling, surface and borehole geophysical techniques, aquifer testing, and remedial systems performance monitoring.
  • Assist in project activity planning, health and safety planning, and oversight.
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for site characterization, hazardous waste, storm water, and wastewater programs.
  • Record data and assist in technical presentation of results, prepare reports, tables, graphs, charts, and hydrogeologic-related maps.
  • Perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.
  • Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance, as needed.
  • Provide topical research, perform environmental compliance assessments, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant environmental experience, including environmental field work.
  • Willingness/interest in field assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good written/verbal communication.
  • Effective organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
  • Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification, GIT/PG certification a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Local candidates preferred.
