Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our specialty pharmacy services and managing key accounts for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and manage the performance of pharmacist and pharmacy technician staff in providing specialty pharmacy services, including patient services, physician account management, and clinical expertise.
  • Maximize the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations.
  • Provide leadership in the ongoing management of patients throughout intake, care provision, and distribution of drugs and supplies.
  • Lead in-service and participate in professional conferences as opportunities arise.
  • Assist in the design, development, and execution of clinical outcomes and accreditation programs.
  • Identify opportunities and weaknesses, collaboratively design, and deploy effective solutions.
  • Answer and initiate phone calls related to providing pharmaceutical care, document all activities comprehensively and appropriately.
  • Perform dispensing, delivery, and inventory duties as needed, fulfill the duties of the patient care coordinator/pharmacy technician when required.
  • Support billing and revenue cycle through timely management of back-end billing and front-end verification and authorization.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS in Pharmacy or a PharmD and a minimum of 3 years of related pharmacy experience, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
  • Must possess an active, valid, current unrestricted pharmacy license (RPH) for the applicable state or territory of the United States.
  • For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • PharmD preferred.
  • Prior management experience.
