Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

At Vitreo Retinal Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
  • Assist the doctor in preliminary testing and verify medical and vision insurances.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and display a professional attitude at all times.
  • Practice urgency at all times with patient's time, as well as doctor's time and schedule.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Favorable result on Background Check.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excitement to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT).
Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
