Position Overview: Leidos is seeking a talented Space Systems Architect to engage in the design, development, and deployment of advanced space-based sensor technologies.

Role Responsibilities: In this role, you will collaborate with the Chief Engineer and a diverse team of engineers, including Integration and Test Engineers, Signal Processing Engineers, and Software Engineers, to innovate and implement sensor capabilities for space applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to create and refine system designs.
  • Developing UML artifacts and contributing to the overall sensor design process.
  • Managing Systems Engineering best practices to ensure effective implementation of sensor components.
  • Conducting requirements analysis, risk assessment, and integration testing.

Key Duties: You will support Systems Engineering and Integration and Test (SEIT) activities within a digital engineering framework, focusing on:

  • Requirements management and decomposition.
  • Verification and validation of system requirements.
  • Documentation of design plans and test requirements.
  • Collaboration with engineers to communicate architectural details and software interactions.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with applicable experience.
  • Familiarity with No-Magic's CAMEO Systems Modeler.
  • Experience in requirements management, risk identification, and supplier management.
  • A Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Matlab, or Python.

Preferred Skills: Additional expertise in space-based sensor technologies, radar fundamentals, and embedded systems development will be advantageous.
