F&B Beverage Shift Lead
Job Overview:
Deliver exceptional and welcoming service to every patron who visits the bar while crafting and serving beverages for guests and beverage staff, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible sale and service of alcoholic drinks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards of guest service by attentively listening and responding to guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a steady flow of service to guests, cocktail servers, and food servers.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, using their names during interactions and remembering their preferences. Thank guests, bid them farewell, and encourage their return.
- Efficiently and accurately prepare beverages to specification while utilizing approved measuring tools and techniques.
- Process all sales transactions promptly and accurately, providing sales receipts for credit card transactions or upon guest request.
- Continuously monitor the bar area to ensure timely beverage service for all guests.
- Adhere to laws, policies, and procedures related to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages. Verify the age of any guest who appears to be under thirty (30) years old. Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages to all patrons.
- Observe guest behavior to prevent intoxication and disorderly conduct.
- Address guest issues promptly and professionally, communicating problems and concerns to management.
- Maintain knowledge of and provide guests with information regarding menus, promotions, programs, and various gaming options such as Slots, Poker, and Bingo.
- Keep a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety standards. Ensure the bar top is free of glassware and debris, and that ashtrays are clean and placed appropriately. Follow proper sanitation procedures consistently.
- Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Stock service wells, set up and break down service areas, and receive all products and stock according to specifications.
- Maintain a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
- Exhibit a courteous and friendly demeanor towards all team members and guests.
- Fulfill bar back responsibilities in the absence of a bar-back.
- Accurately record all sales in the POS system and collect payments for all products sold.
- Submit all financial receipts for end-of-shift reports.
- Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and safeguard confidential information entrusted to this position.
- Attend and successfully complete all required training as assigned.
- Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, and IRS Currency Transaction Reports, as well as established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR as necessary.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must obtain and maintain current TABC certification.
- Bartender Certification or a minimum of one (1) year of bartender experience preferred.
- Must understand and accept the risks associated with this position.
- In-depth knowledge of wine and alcoholic beverage preparation preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral. Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.

- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen.
- Must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Must communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.
- Must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Casino floor and typical office setting.
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular contact with the general public.
- Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; may be exposed to high noise levels throughout the day.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
- May encounter risks associated with resolving issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.
- May be exposed to various lighting types, including artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, and multiple colored lights.
- Travel may be required to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
- Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check necessary to obtain and maintain the license. Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid at all times.
- Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have access to reliable transportation for commuting to and from work.
- Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies and procedures, and gaming regulations set within KLEC.
- Must participate in the tip reporting program.
