Position Overview

The Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in delivering quality patient care and administrative assistance under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position is essential in upholding patient care standards and ensuring a patient-centered approach while striving for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing compassionate patient care and comfort under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to established protocols and policies.
  2. Effectively communicates patient information to the supervising registered nurse.
  3. Supports clerical tasks related to assigned patients.
  4. Completes all required technical skills and patient care tasks as assigned, following the established core competencies.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are 12 hours long (6:30 AM to 7 PM and 6:30 PM to 7 AM).

Weekly Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours.

Departmental Areas: Various units including Medical-Surgical, Innovation Unit (Orthopedic/Neurological), Post-Surgical (Wound Care), Dialysis/Pulmonary, and Cardiac Care.
