This integrated division serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices through Citi Private Bank, addresses the affluent and high-net-worth segments via Citigold and Citigold Private Client, and engages in workplace wealth management through Citi Global Wealth at Work.


The Senior Wealth Advisor is responsible for delivering holistic financial and investment guidance to our Citigold and Citigold Private Client clientele. Senior Wealth Advisors benefit from access to a premier investment solutions platform, enabling the provision of both traditional and alternative investment options, managed account solutions, and top-tier research and advisory services for all Wealth clients.

Client satisfaction is our foremost priority. As a Senior Wealth Advisor, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated Wealth team to address the financial requirements of our Affluent and High-Net Worth clients. This includes working alongside a Wealth Relationship Manager and specialists in various fields such as Financial Planning, Insurance, Portfolio Consulting, and Home Lending.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with new clients to attract additional banking and brokerage assets.
  • Enhance existing client relationships within Citi Personal Wealth Management and Retail banking through effective financial planning and exceptional discovery and profiling techniques.
  • Act on referrals and introductions from business partners, recommending the most suitable offerings based on client profiling and suitability evaluations.
  • Provide investment recommendations and advice through a curated selection of solutions utilizing firm models and research.
  • Capitalize on referral opportunities to expand your portfolio.
  • Refer potential opportunities to segment partners when appropriate.
  • Acquire new clients by converting referral leads.
  • Oversee client follow-ups while adhering to all regulatory and compliance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with KYC/AML and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with all branch team roles to guarantee a positive client experience.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Take on informal or formal leadership roles within teams, including mentoring and training new team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a financial advisory role.
  • Proven success in a proactive sales and service position within the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiar with financial planning software.
  • Basic knowledge of investment and financial planning strategies is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving, and goal-oriented team player capable of working independently.
  • Possession of Securities Industry Essentials - SIE, Active Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses.
  • Group 1 Insurance License.
  • This role requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, along with maintaining and renewing that registration annually.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation: The salary range is competitive and may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
