QinetiQ US is seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Engineer to support the development of our Advanced Fire Control Cell. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical input and advice to the Program Manager and serve in a Systems Engineering role to support design reviews, test procedures, and provide feedback and recommendations to ensure the vendor's satellites meet SDA's architecture needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and advisory services on complex space systems integration and test efforts
- Oversee systems engineering processes, including cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs
- Support the development of test objectives, plans, schedules, and the execution of the tests, supporting analysis and developing reports
- Work with multiple teams and program offices supporting the coordination, development and execution of system test plans and integration efforts
- Perform risk management activities, including identification and assessment, and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Support application product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Develop briefings, written reports, and assessments to be provided to a variety of audiences
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering and math
- Minimum of 8 years experience with satellite and fire control systems
- TS/SCI clearance
- Strong Experience in requirements development and tracking
- Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction
- Experience in systems engineering
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Masters degree in science, technology, engineering and math
- 8 years experience with satellite fire control systems
- Agile framework experience including use of Jira/Confluence
- Experience DoD and or IC customers
- Current experience with space systems
