Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail operations in Aspen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, managing day-to-day store operations, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all recreational and medical cannabis sales operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
  • Assist the Store Manager in setting and achieving daily goals and objectives.
  • Provide escalated guidance to customers, resolving complaints and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assist with workforce and performance management, including hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and evaluating employee performance.
  • Perform daily cash verifications and recordings, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Lead intake of deliveries, transfers, and inventory management, ensuring efficient stock levels.
  • Engage with customers and patients to understand their wellness needs, recommending products and educating them on benefits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including product organization, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Process sales transactions, handling cash, using POS systems, and compliantly packaging and labeling products.
  • Enter or modify customer/patient information in the POS System.
  • Assist with managing team schedules to ensure proper coverage and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Participate in store audits and secure patient files.
Requirements
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • 6 months experience utilizing METRC.
  • Experience with retail POS systems.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Experience with Cova POS system.
  • Cannabis knowledge or cannabis industry experience.
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Range: $23.00-$24.50; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications.
  • Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2.5 weeks per year.
