Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Center Representative to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients are scheduled and registered for services in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Registration: Utilize critical thinking skills and healthcare knowledge to manage scheduling and registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling and registration of patients.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain HIPAA guidelines and ensure that patient information is kept confidential and secure.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Meet productivity and efficiency standards, ensuring that scheduling and registration processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in a healthcare setting or customer service operations, or successful completion of the Houston Methodist Call Center Apprenticeship.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology.
