Position Overview:
The role of the Host is crucial in ensuring that all guests are promptly recognized and seated in designated dining areas. This position plays a key part in assisting servers to deliver attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the guests' dining journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests at suitable tables in a timely manner.
  • Remain attentive to guests' needs to enhance their dining experience.
  • Support the cashier in collecting payments from guests and servers as necessary.
  • Prepare cashier reports at the end of each shift.
  • Distribute tips to servers and service attendants when appropriate.
  • Manage reservations for dining outlets effectively.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of menus.
  • Execute opening and closing duties as per the established checklist.
  • Understand and adhere to the standards of service for room service orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus and current specials across all relevant departments.
  • Assist servers and cashiers in guest service as required.
  • Comprehend and comply with state liquor laws.
  • Strive for overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or relevant experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Flexibility to work long hours as needed.
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Capability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and employees.
  • Approach all interactions with a warm and courteous demeanor.
  • Consistent attendance in line with company standards, adapting to scheduling needs.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Maximize productivity, identify challenges, and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Exhibit a friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.
