Position Overview: We are in search of an innovative Chief Executive Officer to steer The MH Group, LLC. The successful candidate will oversee the strategic direction of the organization, including managing the annual and monthly financial plans, staffing, grant applications, fundraising, and all facets of our after-school services, in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Operations Management:
    • Implement sound financial management practices, oversee the annual budget, and ensure the organization’s fiscal stability.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Facilitate high-quality after-school programs aimed at enhancing students' academic and personal achievements.
  • Grant Writing and Fundraising:
    • Lead initiatives to identify, apply for, and manage grant proposals while nurturing relationships with private foundations.
    • Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies, including major events and campaigns.
  • Community and Board Engagement:
    • Prepare detailed program and financial reports for the Board of Directors and actively participate in board committee meetings.
    • Act as the public representative of the organization and manage relationships with donors, community partners, and the media.
  • Staff and Volunteer Management:
    • Recruit and supervise organizational staff, providing direct oversight to key management positions.
    • Promote a respectful and collaborative workplace culture while managing volunteer recruitment and engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, ideally within the human services sector.
  • Strong skills in financial management, including budget oversight and financial reporting.
  • Experience in educational programming and leading teams to meet educational objectives.
  • Proven fundraising and grant writing abilities, with a history of building donor relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to the mission of providing educational opportunities for students from low-income backgrounds.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in a related area.
  • Experience with EEC licensing is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Strong leadership and organizational management capabilities.
  • Deep commitment to the mission and goals of The MH Group, LLC.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and donor management software.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and diverse organizational demands.
