Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Medical Director is a key leadership position at Generations Family Health Center, responsible for providing coordinated psychiatric services to patients. This role involves routine and crisis adult and pediatric care, evaluation, diagnosis, medication assessments, patient education, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical direction for the Behavioral Health Department, including direct oversight of medication management providers.
  • Work closely with the BH Leadership team to achieve department and organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement individual ongoing care plans for patients.
  • Stay knowledgeable about agency and clinical policies, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to standards of care.
Requirements
  • Documented completion of a residency from an accredited institution in an appropriate specialty.
  • CT Physician license, valid federal and state controlled substance licenses.
  • Board Certification required or board eligible in adult and child psychiatry.
