Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at Windham Public Schools. The successful candidate will provide behavior analysis services and develop behavior intervention plans for special education students, while also supporting and training school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians on behavior intervention techniques and strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as liaison with the public and mental health community to support individual student development goals
  • Administer programs and services for behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students to improve functioning and ensure program eligibility and compliance
  • Assist with student crisis intervention and develop interventions, functional behavior assessments, and behavior plans to provide a safe and effective educational environment
  • Collaborate with school personnel, agencies, and families to coordinate individualized services for students
  • Collect and summarize behavioral data, complete reporting requirements, and conduct workshops and training on classroom management techniques and other topics
  • Coordinate handling of child abuse and neglect cases, facilitate and coach teams through the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments/behavior interventions plans and crisis plans
  • Implement and coach school personnel on research-based methods of classroom management and behavioral strategies, participate in the development of Individualized Educational Programs for students, and provide social skills instruction to students using research-based methodologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred in a related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) required
  • Advanced training and/or experience as BCBA, preferred
  • Experience supervising ABAs, preferred
  • Bilingual and teaching experience a plus
