Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at ECHN, providing direct and indirect services to Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health inpatients. The successful candidate will assist with treatment plans, assessments, documentation, consultations, and recommendations, contributing to a caring environment through ECHN's Core Values of Respect, Teamwork, and Communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient's level of functioning and develop age-appropriate treatment plans
  • Implement patient-specific treatment and communicate and coordinate patient's care
  • Complete required documentation and provide supervision on group topics
  • Collaborate in team meetings and respond to individualized and comprehensive service needs
  • Increase visibility of Occupational Therapy services and demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Participate in Early Response and Dr. Strong codes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an Accredited College or University
  • State OTR license required
  • Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and certification within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in working with the chronic BH / psychiatric population preferred

  • Strong clinical skills with a demonstrated team orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Computer competency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Flexibility in approach to individualize treatment
  • Excellence in time management
  • Capability of swift and efficient action, including patient restraint in emergency codes
