POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting ENERGYWERX, a virtual innovation hub dedicated to supporting the U.S. Department of Energy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitating communication with award recipients to streamline the invoicing process.
  • Engaging in webinars and virtual meetings with DOE representatives, candidates, and awardees.
  • Creating instructional videos to enhance process understanding.
  • Utilizing financial tools to meet opportunity requirements effectively.
  • Managing financial aspects related to performers, opportunities, and programs diligently.
  • Implementing financial transactions and updating processes as necessary.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the status of opportunities and performer operations.
  • Evaluating overall performance metrics for programs, opportunities, and performers.
  • Contributing to team development through mentoring, training, and the creation of checklists and other resources.
  • Assisting team members and subcontractors to advance operational goals.
  • Helping to establish clear and achievable program objectives.
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly reports for government partners and stakeholders.
  • Conducting research and collaborating on technology discussions.
  • Assisting in the development of effective outcomes for ENERGYWERX, DOE, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitating business-to-business (B2B) initiatives that align with ENERGYWERX objectives.
  • Coordinating and tracking overall program activities.
  • Identifying, sourcing, and contracting with various service providers to ensure project success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in virtual settings.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Project, MS Visio, Canva, Domo, Smartsheet, Submittable, Wufoo, CRM tools, and other project management platforms.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • No conflicts of interest affecting DEFENSEWERX or its partners.
  • A commitment to documenting and supporting the development of key business systems and procedures.
  • Ability to produce professional correspondence in a dynamic environment.
