Occasional Saturday availability required
Under the guidance of the Property Manager, the Assistant Community Manager plays a vital role in supporting all aspects of property management. The primary focus is to ensure the community achieves a healthy cash flow while maintaining the property to meet Drucker + Falk standards and ensuring resident satisfaction. All duties are performed in alignment with company policies and in compliance with EHO and EEO regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the Property Manager, the Assistant Community Manager assumes responsibility for the office and all financial transactions related to the community, ensuring daily deposits are completed.
- Conduct property tours and process applications for potential residents.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of resident move-ins and move-outs.
- Ensure accurate processing of documentation and maintain confidentiality of resident files, including income, credit reports, and assets.
- Prepare and organize resident files in accordance with company standards.
- Initiate the lease renewal process and submit completed packets to the Property Manager for review.
- Manage maintenance service requests efficiently.
- Actively engage in fostering positive resident relations within the community.
- Compile weekly reports on traffic and lease renewals.
- Maintain current advertising and website materials.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization.
- Complete additional assignments as directed by the Property Manager or Regional Property Manager.
- If multiple Assistant Community Managers are present, the Property Manager will designate the individual responsible for the property during their absence.
- Conduct outreach marketing as instructed by the Property Manager or Regional Property Manager.
- Follow up on potential rental inquiries and visitors.
- Process accounts payable and receivable as directed.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate's Degree
- Two years of experience in retail sales or customer service
Additional Skills:
- Professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of apartment leasing and collection practices
- Exceptional customer service, sales, and marketing skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Yardi software is preferred
