Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, preparing and presenting financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:- Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate accounting for and recording of all financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain adequate internal controls across the organization.
- Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, and appraisal of Finance Department personnel.
- 4-year degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Finance or Accounting.
- Ten years or more related experience, preferably as a Controller in a non-profit organization.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Strong leadership skills and a capable thinker who is proactive.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Sage Intacct.
- Proficiency with Solver.
- Experience with Bill.com as an accounts payable vendor.
