Financial Representative Trainee Job Overview

At Mutual of Omaha, we're committed to helping our customers achieve their financial goals. As a Financial Representative Trainee, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills in financial analysis, sales, and customer service.
  • Contribute to classroom discussions, goal-setting sessions, and progress evaluation meetings.
  • Demonstrate sales process competency and gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal business partners and acquire in-depth knowledge of our product offerings.
  • Oversee completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow to ensure a seamless application and underwriting process.
Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully achieve Trainee Program criteria.
  • Pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job.
  • Pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Access to reliable transportation for appointments and meetings.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
