Position Overview and Duties:


Worcester Respite offers a temporary group living setting aimed at providing care during intermittent crises and stabilization for adults diagnosed with mental health or substance use disorders.

The primary objective of the Worcester Respite initiative is to collaborate with individuals to cultivate skills that promote their autonomy within the community, enabling them to lead lives that are not solely defined by their mental health challenges.


Overnight Support Specialists assist individuals in achieving the highest level of independence possible, while delivering evidence-based care and support within a communal living environment.

They offer guidance, assistance, and engage in various daily living activities.

By implementing protocols that safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and security of the facility, specialists ensure that individuals can lead healthy, productive, and independent lives.

Specialists are strong advocates for the individuals they serve, believe in the power of community, and recognize the significance of community integration.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize crisis intervention techniques or other methods to address crisis situations, adhering to established program and agency protocols.

Provide support and guidance for individuals needing assistance during nighttime hours.

Assist individuals with their morning routines and implement all care plans.

Review and complete all necessary documentation.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

A valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are required.

Dependability, eagerness to learn, and openness to new experiences are essential.
