Senior IT Support Specialist

Job Overview

Allan Myers is in search of a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive IT assistance to our users both in-office and on-site. This role offers significant exposure to various aspects of our IT Department, establishing a robust foundation in systems, processes, and administration. We seek a candidate with expertise in information systems, data analysis, and a talent for fostering strong team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-user support through phone and in-person interactions, aiding users in resolving inquiries and issues related to computers, mobile devices, and printers, along with core field applications pertinent to Construction and Materials operations.
  • Evaluate user-reported issues for urgency and impact on business or users.
  • Conduct basic system diagnostics and troubleshooting on computers, tablets, phones, and printers to assist users with performance or connectivity challenges.
  • Set up mobile devices and computers for new users and manage device swaps for current users.
  • Collaborate with other IT personnel during site visits and engage directly with Shared Services, Construction, and Materials teams to understand technology applications in those business areas.
  • Support new technology implementation projects, data analytics initiatives, or large-scale device deployment efforts as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Civil Engineering with a technology focus, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in maintaining Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows devices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented, punctual, and capable of working effectively within a team.
  • This position requires travel to various Allan Myers locations, materials plants, and job sites as necessary. The typical work environment is characterized by moderate noise levels.
  • Daily travel/commute to the office and work sites is required, with potential overnight stays.
