Branch Billing Specialist

The Branch Billing Specialist is responsible for generating invoices to customer accounts. This role requires analytical thinking skills and the ability to ensure timely and accurate billing of customers. Key responsibilities include serving as a liaison between Account Managers/Operations and the Accounting Department, billing all job packets in a timely manner, and ensuring all categories are captured on each order.
Key Accountabilities
• Serve as a liaison between Account Managers/Operations and the Accounting Department
• Bill all job packets in a timely manner
• Ensure all categories are captured on each order
• Review sale orders for accuracy
• Submitting job packets to accounting and updating billing tracker
• Responsible for rebilling of off-spec items, open orders, and collection of outstanding invoices
• Bill waste jobs and Projects
• Ensure all costs are captured (Quality Control on Cost)
• Check Vendor invoices for accuracy
• Retrieve prior job packets for AM/TSS
Requirements
• Knowledge of standard accounts payable processes and associated accounting procedures
• Analytical skills such as understanding customer contract terms and pricing
• Advanced Excel user with the ability to learn new systems (eg. Nav, Enviroware)
• Willingness to learn and work through change
• Perform duties with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Apply judgment effectively when solving problems
• Readily, reliably, and timely provision information to others as a service provider
• Effective communication with internal and external customers
• A strong work ethic and positive, supportive attitude. Ability to be a self-starter, manage multiple priorities and manage details
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferable one to two years experience performing compliance related tasks
• Prior experience with a HazWaste company a plus
