We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Community Health Care.

Job Summary:

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for inputting data using a computerized billing information system, including out-of-office encounters and bills claims to third parties manually and electronically.

You will also prepare files for the processing of patient statements, post payments to accounts, and re-bill claims as needed.

In addition, you will verify the accuracy and completeness of charges entered by clinic support staff and complete routine maintenance of the computer system, including system backup and daily and monthly closing procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Input data using a computerized billing information system
  • Prepare files for the processing of patient statements
  • Post payments to accounts and re-bill claims as needed
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of charges entered by clinic support staff
  • Complete routine maintenance of the computer system

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited, state-approved Medical/Dental billing program, plus 1 year of experience in Medical/Dental billing, including Medicare and Medicaid, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
