Bookkeeper Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper I to join our team at Making A Difference Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties, including processing payroll, maintaining financial records, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll at the close of pay periods (5th and 20th of each month) and prepare, record, and distribute paychecks.
- Prepare and process monthly billing of tenants and ensure accurate and timely payment of bills and employee reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain a highly organized filing system for financial records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of systems and procedures as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks online and experience with nonprofit accounting software.
- Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent; three to five years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Vacation time after one year of employment, beginning with 2 weeks per year accrual.
