About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and families, providing a warm and welcoming environment
  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, including insurance details and medical history
  • Perform insurance verification and billing tasks
  • File and maintain medical records
  • Confirm and schedule appointments
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ months of healthcare or customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR software a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
