About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and families with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Obtain and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history
  • Perform insurance verification and coordination of benefits
  • Manage medical records and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Coordinate appointments and communicate with patients and healthcare providers
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances from patients
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ months of healthcare or customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR software a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
