Neonatal Critical Care Specialist

Job Summary
The OSF HealthCare team is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Critical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Neonatal Critical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to premature and high-risk infants in our 64-bed, private-room unit. You will work closely with our team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, and other healthcare professionals to deliver advanced care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to premature and high-risk infants
- Work closely with our team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, and other healthcare professionals
- Manage premature and high-risk infants, including bedside invasive and non-invasive monitoring, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, and surgery in multiple specialties
- Perform procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, PICC, arterial and umbilical lines, and newborn resuscitation
- Assist with transport of critical infants and rotate to Level II nurseries in the OSF Health Care System
- Participate in shared governance opportunities within the scope of Safety, Quality Improvement, Education, and Focused Unit Based and Hospital Wide Committees
Requirements
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served
- Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois or physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- BLS/ALS Certified
- Experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered
