Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As a key member of our Neonatal Critical Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to premature and high-risk infants, working closely with our team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced practice nursing services to patients in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Perform procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, and arterial line placement, as well as newborn resuscitation for high-risk deliveries.
  • Participate in shared governance opportunities, including quality improvement and education initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Licensed to provide advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois.
  • Experience in neonatal critical care, with a focus on high-risk infant care.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge and skills in neonatal critical care, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
