Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Critical Care Unit team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care to premature and high-risk infants, working collaboratively with our neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and family-centered care principles
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neonatal care
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois
  • Experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit or similar setting
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare teams
