Job Summary

As an Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit at OSF HealthCare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to premature and high-risk infants. You will work as part of a team consisting of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, and other healthcare professionals to deliver advanced care to our patients. Your duties will include managing premature and high-risk infants, performing procedures such as intubation and thoracentesis, and assisting with transport of critical infants. You will also have opportunities to participate in shared governance and contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the unit.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must be licensed to provide advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois or physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. You must also be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). Experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered. You must also be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
