Support Specialist for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team at Vinfen. As a Support Specialist, you will work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct support and assistance to our clients, helping them to build independence skills and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
- Implement treatment plans and assist individuals with activities of daily living
- Provide overnight support and care to individuals with disabilities
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field preferred
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
- Strong time management and writing skills
- Ability to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment
