Job Title: Awake Overnight Residential Counselor

As an Awake Overnight Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of our clients by building their independence skills and increasing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
  • Implement treatment plans and assist individuals with activities of daily living
  • Perform nightly cleaning and filing tasks

Vinfen is a nonprofit, health and human services organization that has been providing community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges since 1977. Our dedicated employees are experienced, highly-trained professionals who provide a full range of supportive living, health, educational, and clinical services in 318 programs throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field preferred
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
  • Strong time management and writing skills
  • Ability to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment
  • Ability to pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting, and driving record check
