Key Responsibilities
  • Traffic Control: Apply knowledge of traffic laws and regulations to manage the flow of traffic and ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians.
  • Supervision: Work under the direction of the Crossing Guard Supervisor to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the Crossing Guard Supervisor to report any issues or concerns regarding the school zone.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to associates, school district staff, and the general public.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to program policies, procedures, and safe work practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job duties as assigned by the Crossing Guard Supervisor, including varying availability to meet the needs of the school zone.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Deal effectively and courteously with associates, school district staff, and the general public.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with the Crossing Guard Supervisor and other stakeholders.
