Position Overview

The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing customer accounts and ensuring smooth operations within the sales department. This position involves generating analytical reports, consolidating shipment data, managing product distribution, and processing purchase orders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the requirements of sales representatives and oversee North American customer accounts.
  • Verify customer orders, pricing, and processing details.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, issues, and manage returns effectively.
  • Create and distribute weekly reports on customer allocations.
  • Track shipment schedules to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including accounting, logistics, and marketing.
  • Manage sales credit adjustments and order modifications.
  • Establish new customer shipping addresses.
  • Provide a weekly backorder report for planning purposes.
  • Participate in scheduled customer and sales meetings.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate Arts/Science degree (AA/AS) or Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in sales or customer service with a Bachelor's degree, or
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with an Associate Arts/Science degree.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Capable of adapting, prioritizing, and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires prolonged periods of sitting and using computer keyboards.

The estimated salary range for this position is $66,560 - $75,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
