Salary

About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our Shelter Medicine team at our Portland Campus. As a key member of our medical care team, you will work collaboratively with our veterinary staff to provide high-quality care to animals in our shelter. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient exams, providing daily medical care, preparing patients for surgery, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hospital facilities. Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2-5 years of experience working in a veterinary medicine center or animal shelter environment, and excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and remain calm in emergency situations. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
