Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative/Scheduler at Sentara Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and scheduling patient appointments in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures in a computerized scheduling system.
  • Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
  • Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries.
  • Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of Customer Service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting.
  • High Volume call center experience preferred.
  • Epic EMR experience preferred.
  • Data entry skills.
