Job Summary

Panasonic North America is seeking a highly skilled Global Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement operations, you will be responsible for building and managing global procurement models for Panasonic factories, providing value-added support and account management to ensure procurement SCM and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issuing purchase orders to suppliers using internal systems and arranging deliveries to customers.
  • Monitoring inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with suppliers and customers, and cooperating with business associate warehouse, logistics companies.
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight, and warehouse companies.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve, develop, and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components, and devices.
  • Assessing customer needs and providing value-added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicating with business associates, customers, suppliers, logistics service providers smoothly with a problem-solving mind.
  • Maintaining the system master data customer, vendor, and product, including price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, etc.
  • Ensuring timely collection of account receivables from customers.
  • SQL database maintenance for Supply Chain operation support with supervisor.
  • Collecting or analyzing logistics data and information to improve operation with supervisor.
Requirements
  • Prefer 3-5 years or more in global procurement or international trading experience.
  • Communication skill in Japanese - must.
  • BA or BS in International Business or Computer Science preferred.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Power BI or Tableau skill is a plus but is not required.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or any coding skills preferred.
  • Passion to create data-driven solutions of global procurement and supply chain.
  • Set challenging goals.
  • Desire for self-improvement.
  • Proactively act as Customer First.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
  • Communication skill in Japanese - must.
