Paragon Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating purchase requisitions, purchasing materials, and managing vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate purchase requisitions and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Submit requests for quotes and negotiate pricing with commercial suppliers.
  • Optimize freight and material costs by evaluating ordering methods and inventory levels.
  • Create purchase orders that align with material requirements, budget, and project schedule.
  • Ensure all required documentation is passed down to suppliers and collaborate with Receiving to prioritize and receive materials into the ERP system.
  • Resolve material and documentation issues with suppliers and reconcile purchase orders with supplier invoices.
  • Maintain ERP inventory system accuracy and update procurement tasks in project management systems.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and lead supplier meetings as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DOD and DOE requirements (ITAR, NN801, DPAS, etc.)
  • 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing/industrial environment with an understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at working with a sense of urgency and meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • High quality of work with minimal errors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and project management systems
  • Education Requirements - Minimum of associate's degree with 3 years of experience or 5 years of experience in performing procurement functions
