Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current California RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (non-core requirement).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test certification.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- 6 months of acute care experience (preferred).
- 2000 hours of emergency nursing experience within the last 3 years (core requirement).
