John Muir Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on a part-time basis. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients receiving conscious sedation, including nerve blocks and cardioversion.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and urgency.
- Manage precipitous deliveries and provide care for mothers and newborns post-delivery.
- Stabilize critically ill patients prior to disposition, including acute stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
- Function competently in the flow and resource roles.
- Assume the role of a relief charge nurse as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 1 year of experience in acute care nursing.
- 2000 hours of experience in emergency nursing within the last 3 years.
- Current RN licensure in California.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ENPC certifications.
- Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test and NIHSS certifications.
This part-time position will work a 12-hour night shift, with a pay rate of $99.73 per hour. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
