Job Summary:

The Site Sustainability Manager is a key role at SBM Management Services, responsible for leading the company's sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This position requires a strong background in waste management, sustainability, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable programs to reduce waste and promote environmental stewardship within SBM Management Services.
  • Lead a team of hourly employees in manual sortation of waste and ensure they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the custodial and facilities team to ensure program success and provide suggestions for improvement as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and customers to ensure compliance with contract duties and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage non-hazardous solid waste vendors and ensure timely collection and disposal of waste.
  • Prepare and direct supplies and equipment to support sustainability initiatives.
  • Review customer requests for service and address any issues or concerns with the site's custodial manager.
  • Implement organizational policies and goals related to sustainability and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Spanish speaking and previous supervisor experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Ability to sort waste by hand and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $72,000 - $76,000 per year

Shift: Day shift (M-F)
