Site Construction Manager

KIRE Builders, Inc. is on the lookout for a Site Construction Manager to enhance our expanding Construction division.

Position Summary:

As a vital member of our Construction division, you will oversee and manage all facets of one of our new ground-up projects in San Diego County. You will report directly to our Construction Operations Manager and collaborate with other KIRE personnel, including an Assistant Superintendent, Skilled Labor, and the Project Management team, depending on project scale. You will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing all subcontractors, suppliers, utility companies, consultants, and regulatory agencies involved in your project.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take full ownership of all project aspects and lead all field operations.
  2. Scheduling:
    1. Develop and maintain the project schedule with a sense of urgency.
    2. Conduct various meetings: pre-construction, safety briefings, weekly production updates, etc.
  3. Plans Management:
    1. Possess in-depth knowledge of project plans and specifications, ensuring alignment with subcontract agreements.
    2. Maintain an up-to-date set of as-built drawings using Company Project Management Software.
    3. Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Design Team and manage responses through Company Project Management Software.
    4. Implement and oversee the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Best Management Practices (BMP) program.
  4. Personnel Management:
    1. Oversee onsite personnel to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    2. Review and approve all personnel time cards and expense reports via company project management software.
    3. Enforce subcontractor compliance with safety policies and quality standards, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
    4. Foster and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders: subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory officials, and other relevant parties.
    5. Accompany building department officials during inspections.
  5. Safety Management:
    1. Promote a culture of safety on the job site, encouraging safe work practices and addressing hazards promptly.
    2. Ensure all employees and contractors comply with the Company's safety policies.
  6. Special assignments as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Field construction experience at a supervisory level in multifamily construction.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Procore software.
  • Prior experience as a Superintendent on multifamily projects.
  • STS Certifications.
  • OSHA Certifications.
