Job Summary

The Assistant Branch Manager is a multi-functional role with diverse responsibilities within the Retail Branch. This individual will be responsible for opening new accounts, managing customer account maintenance and servicing, as well as conducting customer transactions and assisting with the management of the branch cash and vault.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer retention and deposit outflow through deepening relationships with existing customers, actively listening to customer needs, and handling routine inquiries.
  • Process customer transactions in an accurate and timely manner, perform all sales and customer transaction responsibilities, and promote bank products and services.
  • Proactively assist in coaching the branch staff to have better consultative conversations, lead by example by greeting lobby customers, and ensure daily activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain vault and ATM cash within required limits, obtain all necessary information and documentation for new accounts, and assist with daily, weekly, and monthly branch and ATM reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in consumer, business banking, or retail services.
  • Strong sense of integrity and personal ethics, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows-based computer systems, and digital and online banking services.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, excellent verbal and written skills, and digital fluency.
  • Customer service skills or prior quality sales experience, strong communications, problem-solving, task completion, and customer focus.
  • Interpersonal skills are a must, with the ability to deal with difficult situations and customers, and a willingness to work alternating shifts and Saturdays.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $70,000
