Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus for patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with the development of new menu items and specials, and ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and other support staff.
  • Monitor and control food costs, and ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including nutrition, dietary, and patient care, to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience as a cook or in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.

Shift

This position is for a day shift, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
