- Communicate with Teachers and staff, keeping them informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Perform Other Tasks as assigned by teachers and administrators, ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom and school.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job, and regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate Degree, or 48 College credit hours, or pass an academic assessment.
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate is required.
- Six Months of Knowledge and Skills acquired through work experience or successful completion of a specific training program for teacher assistants is preferred.
- Demonstrated General Knowledge of child growth and development, behavior characteristics, and ability to work with people from diverse ethnic groups.
- Demonstrated Flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world and willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession.
