Job Summary

Dallas County seeks a dedicated and skilled Education Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement instructional lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the Dallas County charter school curriculum.
  • Provide classroom educational activities and experiences that promote student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers and staff to modify curricula as needed for special education students.
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and collaborate with staff to determine charter requirements for instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
  • Stay current with teaching strategies and the learning process, and participate in staff development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate major for the assigned classroom subject.
  • Texas state teacher certification preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Working Conditions

The Education Specialist will work in a standard classroom environment within a secured facility. The position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
