Job Title: Systems Engineer III

McLaughlin Research Corporation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to support Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) in support of the Combat Systems Team.

Job Summary:

The CPS Test Engineer will provide technical support in the area of the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System as well as CPS Integrated Products. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing all necessary test and evaluation milestones, test events, platform builds for the submarine fleet, and high-visibility development builds for testing cutting-edge systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and assist with the testing of CPS Integrated Products, Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS), and Payload Control Systems (PCS)
  • Participate in SE and T&E milestones including Test Readiness Review (TRR), System Design Certification Testing (SDCT), System Delivery Verification Review (SDVR), and Design Readiness Review (DRR)
  • Assist with developing training curriculum for the CPS specific Fleet Team Training milestones
  • Conduct Train the Trainer exercises with onsite, military, and contracted personnel to support the CPS initiative at various locations as needed
  • Support and conduct Development Testing (DT), and Engineering Measurements Testing (EMT) including: assisting in the development of test procedures and scenarios, test conduct, execution, analysis, and PTR reporting
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience, OR 13 years of experience required
  • Five (5) years of experience in developmental or operational T&E of tactical US Naval vessels, weapons, software or systems
  • Proven ability to successfully and efficiently monitor systems
  • Travel requirement is 20%
