The Role

We're looking for a mature, organized, and self-driven individual to join our Quantitative Strategies Group as the leader of the Business Risk Unit. As the Model Owner of all models built within QSG, you will lead all work streams related to model production and reporting, specifically processes involving CECL, Capital Stress Testing, Fair Valuation, and Financial Planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with model developers and model owners to ensure all models are in compliance.
  • Author high-quality model documentation, design and execute model monitoring plans, maintain model inventory, and calendar for different compliance activities.
  • Act as the primary touchpoint for Model Risk Management, lead all communications for the Quant group, and work with MRM to formulate a common understanding and interpretation of regulatory guidance.
  • Build ad-hoc analytics and presentations as required, participating in building, enhancing, and delivering credit regulatory analytics solutions needed for ALLL, CECL, and Stress Testing.
Requirements
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a PhD or Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, or a quantitative science.
  • Minimum 5+ years of prior experience in Model Development or Model Validation, with front office experience essential.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills required.
  • Broad knowledge of relevant modeling frameworks and standards, with sound project management and organizational skills.
