We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by accurately collecting and verifying patient information.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and verify patient demographic, contact, and insurance information
- Obtain and verify patient authorization and consent signatures
- Work closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs
- Handle multiple calls and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the facility
- High school degree or GED
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology
- Ability to type 35 wpm
- Bilingual skills a plus
