Patient Access Coordinator

Job Summary
As a Patient Access Representative at Jefferson Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and visitors. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Greets patients and visitors upon arrival and identifies their needs.
- Verifies patient demographic, contact information, insurance, and eligibility information.
- Obtains authorization/consent signatures and collects co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
- Works closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs.
- Maintains confidentiality and adheres to Corporate and Compliance Guidelines.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology.
